How can we do this better? How can we do what we do with even more consideration to the environment? Every day, those of us who work with continual quality improvement and our prioritised commitment to the environment are faced with these two questions.

Part of our environmental policy says: Elmo shall contribute to long-term, sustainable development by producing and offering high-quality leather products with an ever diminishing environmental impact

In practice, this means continual improvements - we seek the continuous replacement of chemicals that are harmful to the environment, we now sort all of our waste for recycling and we have stared using water-based dyes in our finishing unit.

It is the total effect of these procedures - and those that are planned - that leads to long-term improvements in our environment. We have come a long way, and we are proceeding in the same direction each day.

Since 2001 we are certified to the environmental standard SS-EN ISO 14001-1996.
